Alexander C. Chester, M.D.

After graduating cum laude from Georgetown University Dr. Chester completed medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1973. He returned to Georgetown for internship, residency, and a kidney fellowship. He was board certified in internal medicine in 1976 and recertified in 1987 and 1998. Since completion of training in 1978 he has been in private practice at Foxhall Internists.

Dr. Chester practices general internal medicine and is on the clinical staff of Sibley Memorial Hospital. He is also a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center and board member of the Georgetown Hypertension, Kidney, and Vascular Center. He researches on the relationship between sinus disease and chronic fatigue and reviews scientific studies on this subject for several medical journals. He has presented approximately 40 papers and has approximately 100 publications on chronic sinusitis, sinus surgery, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, kidney disease, hypertension and other subjects.

He was named one of the best doctors in America in a number of publications and his biography is included in Who's Who in the World. He and his wife Kim have two married children, a son and a daughter, and three grandchildren. -
